Since we have started writing about Operation Fast and Furious we have been suggesting that this scandal is as bad if not worse than Watergate. Operation Fast and Furious was one of the Justice Department’s genius schemes thought up by high ranking management at the DOJ to flood the Mexican drug cartels with thousands of guns.

According to Senator Grassley and House member Issa, Attorney General Holder knew about this operation and President Obama was in the loop as well. The problem with Fast and Furious is that hundreds of people are being killed. American and Mexican police officers are being killed not to mention hundreds of American and Mexican citizens. In order to cover up their complicity in this scandal, Obama administration officials tried to hide their involvement  by blaming American gun manufacturers for deaths that are clearly the fault of Obama administration management. In order to cover up their incompetence they called for a new round of gun control when this issue had nothing to do with gun control and everything to do with incompetence on an incomprehensible scale. The Obama administration even suckered in the Mexican government into suing the American gun manufacturers for this proliferation of guns when it should have really sued Obama himself for his underlings’ stupidity.

Meanwhile the casualties keep rolling in and the Obama administration seems perfectly fine with the collateral damage to the citizenry in Arizona. Obama says he knew nothing about it and Eric Holder sees no evil either. According to Senator Grassley, the facts are very different and Obama and Holder’s hands are dripping with the blood of dead victims from Operation Fast and Furious.

So for covering up something up, Nixon was crucified by Left: to the point that by the summer of 1974 it became evident the House of Representatives was going to bring up impeachment charges against him. But he nipped those plans in the bud by resigning office on August 9, 1974, and flipping the “V” for victory to the hippies and the war protestors as he boarded the chopper that carried him away from the White House.

No one died during the Watergate break-ins or as a result of Nixon’s cover-up.

Switch gears and jump to 2009, and the ATF’s special operation “Fast and Furious.” An operation with which you’re all familiar by now, where upwards of 2500 guns in Arizona were sold to “straw purchasers” under the assumption that those guns were going to end up in the hands of Mexican cartel members who could then be arrested.

Talk about an embarrassingly ignorant plan.

Jump now to 2011 – of the approximately 2500 guns sold only a few hundred have been recovered and at least one federal agent, Brian Terry, lost his life due to this ludicrous operation.

Talk about a cover-up: this operation was somehow planned and conducted without the full knowledge of the Acting ATF Director, the Justice Department, or President Obama having any knowledge of it. (By “full knowledge” I mean that Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson says knew about it, but was kept “in the dark” regarding the extent of the operation, and the involvement of other agencies like the FBI and DEA.)” More…

Meanwhile a recent Arizona ABC 15 TV report explains how these guns are flooding Phoenix. Keep in mind while you are reading that these guns have been intentionally put in the hands of Drug cartels by the Obama administration. When you watch the featured video on this Arizona ABC 15 report notice how totally brain dead the White House press secretary is regarding this lethal scandal. He seems totally irritated at being asked questions especially questions relating to the danger posed to Arizonans. Remember that according to Senator Grassley, he suspects  Holder and Obama knew all about this failure.

In the below quote, notice and realize that the acting director of the ATF Ken Melson has fully admitted in testimony to congressional investigators that the DOJ is actively issuing false “denials and actively burying its head in the sand.” In other words just as in the Watergate scandal the Obama administration is now in full cover-up mode.

“The Justice Department is obstructing the congressional investigation of a U.S. law enforcement operation intended to crack down on major weapons traffickers on the Southwest border, according to the embattled leader of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Ken Melson, the acting director of the ATF, lobbed the accusation when he sneaked in for an interview with congressional investigators on July 4, two days ahead of his scheduled interview with the inspector general about the operation known as “Fast and Furious,” Fox News has learned.

“If his account is accurate, then ATF leadership appears to have been effectively muzzled while the DOJ sent over false denials and buried its head in the sand,” Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said in a letter Tuesday to Attorney General Eric Holder. “That approach distorted the truth and obstructed our investigation.” More…7/11
