Dr. Scott Keadle, the conservative Republican candidate for North Carolina’s 8th District, was the clear conservative choice for attendees of last night’s 8th District Republican Debate, sponsored by the Cabarrus Republican Women’s Club in Concord.
Before a crowd of over 300 people, Dr. Keadle laid out his Plan for America, which includes less government, less regulations, less spending, and more jobs and was very warmly received by those in attendance.
Carolina Politics Online noted and applauded Dr. Keadle’s aggressive stance on balancing the budget immediately, stating that, “One stark difference between [the candidates] was on balancing the budget. Keadle was the only candidate to say that the budget needs to be balanced tomorrow because we’ve already run out of time. He said he would introduce legislation to return to a balanced budget immediately. The others also supported balancing the budget, but gradually reaching that point over a period of time.”
Additionally, Carolina Politics Online made mention of Dr. Keadle’s “long and distinguished career as a medical professional who [has] succeeded in the private sector and created jobs.” (Full article here: http://www.carolinapoliticsonline.com/2012/02/22/nc-08-republican-primary-debate-rundown/)
Dr. Keadle also officially filed today with the North Carolina Board of Elections to run in North Carolina’s 8th District.
