White Conservatives Bail Out Black Colleges

Holy Mother of Frederick Douglass, I thought all white conservatives were racist homophobes!

Liberals expect every conservative rich white guy to be a racist with ulterior motives. Even when these same rich white guys donate millions to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), they are criminalized.

Can white guys do anything right?

HBCUs are struggling with funding and maintaining student body population.

Enter the Koch brothers. The Koch foundation donated over $25 million to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund to launch, “…research education, criminal justice, and entrepreneurship in communities plagued by high crime and other social ills.” The Kochs have made multiple donations on this scale, including to the United Negro College Fund in 2014.

However, leave it to a liberal to find a way to criticize generosity. As they say, no good deed goes unpunished.

Ralph Wilson of UnKoch My Campus, states, “the trade-off is academic freedom” wherever Koch money goes.

If by a lack of academic freedom Wilson means the college stays open and students will research issues critical to crime-ridden communities, then so be it.

While donations helping impoverished American citizens are demonized, liberals ignore massive donations from countries with anti-LGBT, anti-Christian, and anti-American agendas.

Last year Campus Watch noted multiple high-dollar donations from questionable sources to various Universities. The lack of controversy reeks of liberal hypocrisy and ignorance.  Many donations were from Saudi Arabia, a country with open policies against Christianity, or from Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been identified by the FBI as the US channel of Hamas, a terrorist group.

Donations included: Yale Law School…a $10 million gift from Saudi banking and real estate magnate Abdallah Kamel, will create a center “for the study of Islamic Law and Civilization.”

Georgetown received 40 million dollars from the Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal and the Qatar Foundation in 2005.

Harvard leads the acceptance of donations, including $30 million dollars…$20 million in 2005 alone.

And the list goes on …

The moral of the story, a rich, radical Islamist, may influence American colleges without question. A conservative white guy trying to improve the lives of impoverished citizens in crime-ridden areas, time to polish up the protest signs and march!
