The US news media heaped on the praise, but was purposefully vague about who this extraordinary judge was and what he actually did. The early and oft-repeated media claim "the judge was just in the wrong place at the wrong time" doesn't ring true for several reasons, the most important being how the heck would they know and know so quickly?
Martin Luther King Jr. is revered by most in our country as the man who led the Civil Rights movement and turned the tide in America of black people being treated differently than white people. I say most revere him as the honorable man he was because racism still does exist in our country, but not necessarily in the manner you may believe, namely the manner that is portrayed by the mainstream media. Local tea party groups need to decide whether they should get involved in "social issues".
This is the report that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has been dreading since the tragic event on Saturday January 8. The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Sanctimony from Democrat Senator Charles Schumer of New York never plays well with the public despite media efforts to cast it in a good light, and his latest blunder is true to form. In an effort to go on offense in the ongoing Obamacare debate, Schumer came up with what he undoubtedly considers a brilliant strategy, blissfully unaware of how completely it highlights his elitism and hypocrisy.
This is about more than a country that has the misfortune to be the scene of the events to be presented. This piece is about the symptoms of an ailment, re-labeled Communism that is “democratic” only as long as it can camouflage a dictatorial core with democratic theatrics.
